For over 40+ years, two-time GRAMMY award winning, 8th generation Louisiana Creole, Terrance Simien, has been shattering the myths about what his traditional Zydeco roots music is – and is not. It most certainly is Black American roots music and it is music born of the African American/Black and mixed race French speaking Creoles of South Louisiana.

National Winnie-the-Pooh Day (January 18) honors the birthday of A.A. Milne, the author of the Winnie-the-Pooh stories. There will be a variety of activities for all ages at different times and locations throughout the village. Come to just one, or come to them all! Chris Eves is a one-man orchestra, weaving together a rich sound with live looping. Sonically sprawling, he brings together a diverse array of instruments – guitar, keyboards, bass, drums, and horns – into a layered live performance to support his powerful vocals. Featuring a diverse mix of original songs and covers spanning jam bands, pop hits, and traditional blues, Chris showcases his musical range and versatility as a one-man band.
