Poetry should mean something and clearly and beautifully convey that meaning. This is the philosophy that guides Kit Boyer's writing workshops. Enroll in this creative writing course to learn how to write emotive, impactful pieces. Open to poets of all experience levels.
In the Poetry That Means Something series, you will write at least one poem per session, provide and receive feedback on work, refine and explore your personal writing style, and get exposure to different types of inspiration. Session topics will include form poetry, ekphrasis, poetic terms, critique, and building a poetic mythology.
This is a fully human class, so we won’t be using any computers, generative AI, or other digital tools to create work. Expect to write in a notebook with a pen or pencil. Accommodations provided as needed.
What to bring:
Notebook
Writing utensils
Snacks and water
