Join us for the Summer Village Art Walk, hosted by Arts at the Palace and Partnership for Community Development - an evening of local art, community connection, with a Live Band at 7pm in downtown Hamilton. Stroll through the village and view pop-up galleries, artist booths and storefronts displays. Enjoy a beautiful CNY summer evening, great food & drink and meet local artists. Free and open to all! This is a great chance to highlight the vibrant talent in our village – please help us spread the word!

New exhibition featuring the work of four acclaimed artists - all from right here in Hamilton:
Peter T.S. Leone is a contemporary sculptor and metal artist based in Brooklyn, NY. Working primarily with cast iron, steel, and mixed media, his work explores the permanence of molten metal, often drawing inspiration from Nordic wood-carving traditions. His sculptures have been featured in exhibitions and installations across the country, including the Jewish Museum of Newark and Franconia Sculpture Park. Peter grew up in Hamilton, where he was inspired by a creative upbringing and his mother, who runs an art studio of her own.
Denise Stillwaggon Leone is a contemporary glass artist and educator based in Hamilton, NY. A graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, she has spent decades designing and fabricating architectural art glass installations for universities, hospitals, libraries, hotels, and places of worship throughout North America and England. Denise is also a longtime instructor at The Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass, where she teaches image-making courses, and her artwork is included in the museum’s permanent collection. She founded her practice, Denise Leone Glass Studio, in 1976 and the mother of fellow exhibiting artist Peter T.S. Leone.
Michele Harvey is a realist landscape painter whose work captures the misty forests, country roads, and dramatic skies of upstate New York, drawing inspiration from the landscapes she has known since childhood. Her work has been exhibited for more than two decades at Rice Polak Gallery in Provincetown, MA, and has been featured in major solo exhibitions at the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown, NY. Her paintings have also appeared in Architectural Digest and are held in prominent corporate and public collections across the country. Michele and Steven now live in their updated 1850’s farmhouse outside of Hamilton, where they continue to paint.
Steven Skollar is a realist painter whose work combines the dramatic lighting techniques of 17th-century Dutch and Flemish masters with subjects that range from vintage toys and tractors to thoughtful social and political commentary. Born in the Bronx and raised in Greenwich Village, Steven was classically trained at the Art Students League of New York and grew up in a family of artists. His paintings have been exhibited and sold through respected galleries including Arcadia Gallery in SoHo, NYC, and Rice Polak Gallery in Provincetown, MA. Today, he lives just outside Hamilton, NY, with his wife and fellow artist, Michele, where he continues to paint and gather musicians for song circles in his barn, affectionately known as Skollar Holler.
HOW IT WORKS - 5:30-8:30pm
Village Art Walk dates are June 12th, July 24th, Aug. 28th, Sep. 18th. Once a month we’ll fill the Village of Hamilton with music, arts, fun, and tasty treats!
BUSINESSES
Sign-Up to be a “stop” on the art walk. Fill your space with something creative - an exhibition, musicians, artist demo, showcase, etc. Extra credit for refreshments! Once approved, we’ll add you to the official “Village Art Walk Map”.

ARTIST DISPLAYS & SILENT AUCTION
Artists interested in showing their work are invited to sign-up (email below) for the Display Tables and Silent Auction at The Palace. Silent Auction Runs from 5:30pm-8:15pm.
FEATURED LIVE MUSIC
The Palace Theater will host a featured band/music. 7-8:30pm.
ARTS ACTIVITIES
The Palace will have fun arts activities for kids, families, and kids at heart.
